EnJurance” is a tiny Ode to accompany a Thank You gift.

Get Back!” is a short, sad tale, that could be true.

Cornucopia!

Today you have a bonus bunch of four pieces added.

Largo, Glasgow Fair,1954” is a Boyhood Tale, which is true.

This is a quick read that may bring back memories of Scottish beach holidays when the Sun always split the skies and the sea was warm!

Dermot the Pig” is a tiny little ode, a poem for Matthew and Ethan. Guess what its about?

Francesca Allegra” is an ode for our Italian Tutor. Francesca is very special. What a girl!

It is in mangled Italian, deliberately, so may be inaccessible, even if you read Italian!

Topolina and Nerone” is a cat meets mouse tale. They meet in their dreams, so nobody dies!

This is a 10 minute “read to at bedtime” story.

Candy Floss and Death by Misadaventure

Halloween in Aberdeen” is a romantic tale set in today’s world.

Sealed” was concocted by the Muse, raking around in my past experiences.

I hope you like them.

Any chance of Feedback?

One singer, two songs? And a poem, set to music.

Although I sing and have an eclectic taste in music, sadly I do not play and instrument.

My friend Donald sings, plays and composes.

How clever is that!

From a Wheelbarrow” is an open prose poem written as a challenge set by Donald.

Quiver Ma Knees” and “And the dark rolling seas” are two songs written for Donald, as a return challenge.

I await the outcome.

(A revised version of this website may include MP3 files, so perhaps we may hear Donald sing these songs for us?)

Love that Lasts

Diamond Minds” is a fictional story based on my parents. It will however, ring true for anyone left who knew them. Or so I hope.

Embers” is a different tale, of a love that endured over many long years.

Both are short 12 minute reads.

Romance at work, and listening in to a Friend

Two disparate tales, both short, gentle, and hopefully entertaining.

Scratch!” tells of a Professor McCready, a famous surgeon, and Sally, a Theatre Sister.

Both are keen golfers.

Glue Gen” tells of a garrulous lady meeting and equally garrulous man.

Three Occasions marked by Odes

Yes, do forgive my Germanic Capitalisation!

High Stepping Boy” is about a toddler ‘escaping’ by climbing a stair.

Maid in Scotland” was written to mark a birthday and records some special memories.

Fabulous” tells of the dangers of shopping, for the older man.

Twa Dugs and Fishy Tale

Perhaps these should not have been uploaded together?

Spot Check” is a children’s story about Dupree the Dalmation and Bonnie the Whippet.

Plaice man” is a story about deep-seated sibling rivalry set against in a Fish & Chip Shop.

“Plaice man” is an adult story, but not too dark, more like Eastenders!

Lost and Found

I have added “My best friend” an short open prose poem which tells of a great loss.

To balance it, I have added “Il nuovo migliore amico”, (The new best friend), which tells of a new beginning.

Yes, it is in Italian, but have a look, it should be understandable, I hope.

Both are short.
